School Improvement Planning
Each year the school writes a School Improvement & Development Plan (SIDP). This is a working document used to set priorities and monitor progress throughout the year.
It covers three main elements: -
- How the school is performing
- What the school does well and
- Areas for development
The plan is monitored by the strategic leadership team including governors.
See our Curriculum Practice with Responsive Teaching and Learning Expectations for more information.

Miss A Shipp Early Years and KS1 Lead I was successfully appointed to the role of SLE (Specialist Leader of Education) in Early Years in 2023 through the Warwickshire Early Years Hub. Part of my role includes helping other leaders in schools and early years settings to improve how they teach and run their provision. I work with them to offer guidance, training, and ideas that help make learning more effective and enjoyable for children. This means I’m not only helping the children at Eastlands School but also working to raise the quality of education in the wider area. It’s a role that focuses on collaboration, improvement, and making sure all children have the opportunity to thrive, which I'm hugely passionate about. |
2020 - 2024 Coaching To accelerate school improvement |
022 - 2025 Thinking Matters - focus on metacognition The Thinking School approach teaches pupils to think reflectively, critically and creatively. Pupils are taught to reflect on their learning, set themselves goals for improvement and learn independently. The intent is that pupils should become inquisitive and confident learners with a ‘can do’ attitude. |
