Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence

Our school has begun to integrate the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance the way we operate and to further strengthen the support we provide to our staff. The adoption of AI is being introduced carefully and thoughtfully, with the primary aim of improving the efficiency of our business and administrative functions, as well as assisting staff with certain workload-related tasks. By streamlining routine processes, we are enabling our teachers and staff to dedicate more time and energy to their core focus—supporting the learning, development, and wellbeing of our pupils.

This step has been taken in alignment with guidance from the Department for Education (DfE), ensuring that we follow best practice and maintain the highest standards of accountability. The technology is not used in teaching or decision-making about children, but rather in background systems and operations that allow us to work more effectively as an organisation.
We are acutely aware of our responsibility to safeguard personal information. For this reason, the use of AI is governed by strict protocols, including robust data protection measures, clear boundaries for how the tools are used, and regular reviews of their effectiveness and security. No personal data is shared with AI systems unless appropriate safeguards are in place, and our approach is always underpinned by compliance with UK GDPR and wider data protection legislation.
By adopting these innovations carefully and responsibly, our aim is to make our processes more efficient, reduce unnecessary workload pressures on staff, and ensure that our resources are focused on delivering the very best educational experience for our pupils.
